A HEAVY BRONZE TWO-LIGHT LAMP WITH THREE SEA NYMPHS
The Proctor Estate
The lamp base fashioned after a gilt-bronze sculpture by the Frenchman Louis Chalon (1866-1916) called "Les Filles des Vagues" (Maidens of the Waves). The three female figures depicted emerging from, and surrounded by, waves; set on a shaped faux green marble base; signed "+ chalon" in the bronze near the bottom.
Veneer chipping off the edges of the faux marble base. 36 x 8 x 8 inches (91.4 x 20.3 x 20.3 cm)
