Scott Bros. Ice Cream Co. 1879-1979

The Scott Bros., Henry & William, founded their Topeka, KS milk and Ice Cream business in 1879. After 100 years in business their store in Topeka closed it’s doors in September of 1979. Later it was torn down and during the excavation boxes and boxes of memorabilia were hauled out by the grandsons of the founders. Those artifacts are now coming to auction along with the Smith & DeCook collections from Des Moines, IA. Over 1,600 lots will be offered at no reserve in the three day auction. The selection includes hundreds of ice cream molds and advertising signs, decorative items, stoneware, Civil War photos and Abraham Lincoln items, textiles & quilts, Sleepy Eye, Buster Brown items, cash registers, slot, vending and soda machines, marbles, mechanical banks, silver coins, syrup dispensers, Coca-Cola trays & signs, advertising premiums, spool & dye cabinets, string & sack holders, display cases and cabinets and hundreds of great signs and country store items. This is a rare opportunity to buy the hard to find and unusual!
