This auction has 993 SPACE MEMORABILIA lots along with another 212 assorted COLLECTIBLE lots. Many items related to unmanned space flights through the MERCURY, GEMINI, APOLLO, SKYLAB, ASTP and SHUTTLE programs are being offered. Other strong areas include the early ROCKET, BALLOONS and ZEPPELIN material. The sale begins with over 60 lots from the estate of astronaut THEODORE FREEMAN who tragically perished in 1964, including a Presentation Memorial Album signed by dozens of astronauts including GRISSOM, WHITE, CHAFFEE, SEE, WILLIAMS & BASSETT as well as most all the early astronauts.
